HEALTHY WAYS TO COOK CAULIFLOWER IF YOU ARE WORKING OUT 3

 It has been known that when you are exercising, it is important that you also see what exactly you are eating and in our series of articles, we have focused on Cauliflower and the benefits that it has. In this article we will be looking at a new recipe courtesy of Cape-Cod, and that new recipe is Cauliflower fritters. For those who are at least familiar with Cauliflower then you will know that this is without a doubt one of the best cauliflower recipe that one can have. It has numerous nutrients, for instance a total fat of 3 grams as well as 0.5 grams of saturated fat and 64 calories just to mention a few.

Here are the ingredients that you would require for the cauliflower fritters.

One head of cauliflower that has been shopped into florets.

Three chopped scallions.

An egg.

Two tablespoons of olive oil.

One and a half tablespoon of spice mix, any of your choice.

A half a cup of spelt flour, if you happen to not have that then you could opt to go with whole wheat.

Now for the instructions, take the chopped one head cauliflower and steam it until it is tender, that will take up about 8 minutes. Now take the cauliflower, transfer it into a bowl, and let it cool off. Take the egg, the flour, the scallions as well as the salt or even pepper and the spice and mix it up with the cauliflower. Mash the mixture into pea shaped pieces by using a potato masher. Take up some baking sheets and heat up the oven to 200 degrees. Now take the olive oil and heat it up in a large skillet. While doing this, ensure that the heat has been maintained at medium. Now scoop the mixture of cauliflower with a quarter cup and form them into balls by using your hands. Now drop th


e ball-like cauliflower mixture inside a skillet. Add more fritters and remember to make sure that there is at least two inches between the fritters. Proceed to flattening all the fritters by using the back of your spoon, make sure that you do not overdo it. Now cook for at least five good minutes then flip them and press them down a little bit and then let them cook for at least four to five minutes until both sides are golden brown. To finish it off, sprinkle some salt as well as serve and you are good to go.
